What are rules for using an e-scooter in Vienna?
In Vienna, as an e-scooter driver, you follow the same traffic signs as cyclists. In addition, you should take into account the following conditions:
- The minimum age is 18 years;
- You do not need to hold a driving licence;
- There is no helmet requirement;
- You may ride on a pavement only if it is clearly marked. In all other cases, you use the cycle path or public road;
- It is forbidden to ride two people on one e-scooter;
- It is not allowed to drive side by side and block the road;
- Telephone use while driving is prohibited. Hands-free calling is allowed.

You have two ways to use an e-scooter in Vienna:
