#9. Xiaomi Essential

The best cheap e-scooter

The Xiaomi Essential is the cheapest e-scooter in Xiaomi’s range. The Chinese company is known for its reliable technology, at a good price. 

The Mi Essential has a minimalist design, much like its predecessor: the Xiaomi M365. The frame is largely made of aluminium. With this, it weighs just 12 kg. 

One of the Mi Essential’s most practical features is its 3-second folding system. Carrying and storing the scooter is easy and (according to Xiaomi) the best of all Xiaomi scooters. You can easily fold the scooter and take it on the train, for example.

On a full battery you can ride 20 kilometres. When the battery is empty, you can fully charge it again in 4 hours. While riding, you can switch between three speed modes: pedestrian mode, standard mode and sport mode. In top gear, you achieve a top speed of 20 km/h. 

The redesigned 8.5″ pneumatic tyres benefit from the sturdy tread that is up to 3 times more durable than previous Xiaomi versions. This reduces the chances of a puncture.

#10. Xiaomi 1S

The best e-scooter up to 25 km/h

The Xiaomi 1S is one of the latest added models within the Xiaomi collection. Since its release in 2020, this model has once again been very popular. Because of its tight value for money, the Xiaomi 1S is also a widely purchased e-scooter in 2023.

The Xiaomi 1S features a 250W motor, powered by a 275 Wh Li-ion battery. Like similar models in its price range, the 1S has a maximum speed of 25 km/h.
